Currently, hops are very difficult and expensive to procure. However, via generosity of the "Boston Beer Company" (aka, Samuel Adams), the North Star Craft Brewery has been awarded 284 pounds of the British Kent Goldings hops at last years market price.
Hats off/on, salute, whatever to the Boston Beer Company. Read more about what Jim Koch of Boston Brewing Company did for the Craft Brewing industry this year with the "hop sharing program".
I always suggest buying/supporting local, but since Boston Beer has reached out and helped us out here in the North State, don't be afraid to pick up a six pack of Sam Adams... And, oh yeah, while you'r at it pick up some North Star, too!
Cheers,
